Brown joins from Legends Global, bringing a commercial track record spanning Real Madrid, Arsenal FC, Manchester United and Audi F1.
Formula E has announced the appointment of Will Brown as Chief Commercial Officer, effective July 2026.
Brown will join the Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to CEO Jeff Dodds, and will take responsibility for leading the championship’s global commercial strategy and growing its partnership ecosystem.
He arrives from Legends Global, where he serves as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Motorsport, having previously held senior commercial roles at IRONMAN, Arsenal FC and Manchester United. His experience spans Europe and Asia, with a particular focus on building high-value partnerships in complex international markets.
It is a significant appointment. Formula E is entering the GEN4 era — its most ambitious technical chapter yet — and the commercial infrastructure needs to match the ambition on track.
Dodds said he was “delighted” to welcome Brown “at such an important moment for the championship”, adding that the organisation had used this period to evolve its commercial structure to “capitalise on the significant global momentum behind the series.”
Brown, for his part, described Formula E as sitting at “a unique intersection of world-class sport, innovation and sustainability” — which, if you’ve been paying attention to the GEN4 car launch and the calendar expansion, is hard to argue with.
The appointment follows the recent addition of Michaella Snoeck as Chief Media Officer, suggesting Formula E is quietly but deliberately building out its senior leadership ahead of what could be a defining period for the championship.
