Formula 1 has announced that the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas will remain on the race calendar until 2034.
Stefano Domenicali, President & CEO of Formula 1, expressed pride in extending the partnership with Bobby Epstein and his exceptional team in Austin, stating, “As Formula 1 continues to grow and thrive in the United States, we are proud to extend our partnership.”
Since its debut in 2012, the United States Grand Prix has become one of the sport’s premier events, fueled by the success of Netflix’s “Drive to Survive” and Apple’s “F1” movie.
The track is renowned for its intense racing, thrilling battles, and vibrant off-track entertainment. Today, it will introduce a new off-track entertainment concept called “Grid Gigs” before the Grand Prix begins.
Each year, the U.S. Grand Prix attracts investors and celebrities, with stars like Taylor Swift gracing the paddock in 2016.
Lewis Hamilton shared his thoughts on Thursday, saying, “I love that we’ve tapped into the sporting community here. I think the first time we came here, it was like, ‘What is F1?’
“The journey we’ve been on with Netflix and the movie has been amazing. It’s also bringing people of all ages to the race. I’m really thankful to the people of Austin.”
